Inspired by Nature with Sahra Hersi is a downloadable family activity created for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, then known as House of Illustration. Commissioned in 2020, when the pandemic moved creative learning into people's homes, the activity invites children to create a dream garden full of flowers, fruit and vegetables, trees, animals, and people, both real and imaginary.

The pack is full of techniques for drawing beautiful, textured plants, with ideas for layout and composition that help young illustrators build their own world on the page. It is designed for ages 5 to 12 and remains free to download from the Quentin Blake Centre's website.
