Orginal West Ham Stadium


The Boleyn Ground, often referred to as Upton Park, was home to the Original West Ham Stadium. The entrance to the stadium was on Green Street. It was built in 1904 and remained there till 2016. The capacity of the Boleyn Ground was 35,016.

On 30 September 2010, West Ham formally submitted its bid for the Olympic Stadium in Stratford. The bid was successful, the Olympic Park Legacy Company upheld the decision to award West Ham the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games.

The old Upton Park stadium was demolished to make way for a housing development.
