World Cup Sculpture


The World Cup Sculpture, also known as The Champions, is a bronze sculpture of the 1966 World Cup final. It was Sculpted by the Royal Sculptor Philip Jackson, featuring Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters and Ray Wilson. The statue stands at the junction of Green Street and Barking Road. Newham Council and West Ham United jointly commissioned the sculpture.

It depicts a famous victory scene photographed after the 1966 world cup final held at the old Wembley stadium in London when England won the World Cup.
